The Electrical Installation and Maintenance NC II Qualification consists of competencies that a person must achieve to enable him/her to install and maintain electrical wiring, lighting, and related equipment and systems where the voltage does not exceed 600 volts in residential houses/buildings.


             The Electrical Installation & Maintenance NC III qualification consists of a set of competencies that a candidate for this qualification must achieve in order to obtain a national certificate for this qualification as specified by TESDA requirements. This particular set of competencies excludes core technical competencies required for related highly specialized vocational skilled workers such as linemen, substation technicians, electrical motors/generators repair technicians.


The RAC SERVICING (Packaged-type air-conditioning unit / Commercial refrigeration equipment (PACU/CRE) NC III Qualification consists of competencies that a person must achieve to enable him/her to install, service, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair as well as to perform start-up, test, and commissioning of air-conditioning and refrigeration units in commercial environment/ establishments other than centralized air-conditioning and industrial refrigeration systems.


Introduction:

          This module covers the knowledge, skills, and attitude in performing groove welding on carbon steel plates in 2G, 5G and 6G position.

          You need to complete and pass self-check of this module before you can perform higher level of competencies. Practices in this module will help you familiarize and apply solving problems using the four fundamentals of operation, conversion of units of measurements, and measuring and estimating of work piece prior to actual demonstration of the process. Desirable values and attitude must also be taken into consideration.

          This module consists of three learning outcomes. Each learning outcome contains learning activities for both knowledge and skills, supported with information sheets, activity sheet, job sheets, operation sheets and self-checks, gathered from different sources. Before you perform the manual exercises, read the information/activity/job/operation sheets mentioned in the special instruction column and answer the self-check for confirmation that you are equipped with the knowledge necessary to perform the skills portion of the particular learning outcome with your instructor.

          Upon completion of this module, you have to submit yourself to your instructor for assessment. You will be given a Certificate of Completion as a proof that you have met the standard requirements (Knowledge & Skill) for this module. The assessment could be made using different methods, as prescribed in the competency standard.

 


            The Solar Powered Hydroponic System Level II Qualification consists of competencies that a person must achieve in order to assemble, operate and maintain Hydroponic system. Practice of safety measures and proper handling of tools and equipment are also required for a competent performance.

 

             It also includes competencies participate in workplace communication; work in team environment, solve/ address general workplace problems, develop career and life decisions, contribute to workplace innovation, present relevant information, practice occupational safety and health policies and procedures, exercise efficient and effective sustainable practices in the workplace, practice entrepreneurial skills in the workplace, prepare construction materials and tools, perform mensuration and calculation, maintain tools and equipment and observe procedures, specifications and manuals of instructions.
